We're Just, Intersectional and Intergenerational

Pwani Feminist Futures Alliance (PwaFFA) is a queer-led feminist Alliance based in Mombasa County at the Coastal region of Kenya. The organization comprises of mainly LBQ-ITGNC individuals with shared feminist ideologies working towards creating a just, intergenerational and intersectional feminist future. PwaFFA was formed in 2019 after a feminist convening organized by the Initiative for Equality and Non-Discrimination (INEND) with more members joining in later on after two successful ‘Feminist Hangout’ sessions. Our priority areas are:

What We Do

Gender Based Violence

Acknowledging inequality as the root cause of violence against women, ITGNC persons and girls, we seek to establish equality and employing a feminist perspective in our work to end SGBV

Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights

We seek an environment where women, ITGNC and girls are able and free to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights and make free and informed choices about their sexual and reproductive rights

Women and ITGNC leadership and empowerment

PwaFFA aims to facilitate members' leadership and participation on a local and national level by using a combination of advocacy, skills training and coalition building.
